This mosaic was created for the LEGO Ideas art contest in October 2020. It features a swarm of butterflies emerging from a digital canvas, symbolising transformation and creativity taking flight. Built from 8,356 LEGO elements—including over 7,200 tiles—the piece blends intricate detail with dynamic 3D motion as the butterflies rise off the flat mosaic into the air.
It is now proudly displayed at LEGO headquarters.
